Constructed/Performance Photography Hey everyone, I'm teaching a class (called ProcessTHIS, see our ProcessTHIS Blog for more info) and I will be teaching a series of classes in January on the constructed and performed image. I am currently researching for this lecture and was wondering if any of you would like to send me any of your work to show. 72ppi with the longest side being 600 pixels would be great! just e-mail them to me at jeremias@momentism.com
If you know anyone else's work that I should include, please let them know as well!
Also does anyone know Brandon Harrison's email? I want to include his work.
Thanks guys! I hope everything is good in Savannah and all the places the rest of you are, it's getting cold here in Boston! -Jeremias |

Don't forget to book your hotel for SPE national conference if you have the slightest inkling you will be going. The Miami Radisson with the SPE discount (you have to tell them about the "Society Photographic" to get the deal), is the cheapest option actually. Nearly half off their usual rate! Anyway, a credit card won't be charged until you check in and you can cancel up until the day beforehand and not have a penalty. |

Here is a polaroid test of a photograph I have been wanting to try lately. I am thinking of a serie s of family portraits done this way.
The thinking behind this was, since I am interested in how people relate to the aesthetics of photographs rather than the subject matter, I would remove the eye contact of the portrait. That way, as the viewer, you can't interact with the subject, you can only interact with the print. What do you all think? |
