On Thursday night, April 2, 2009, Jamie Cicatieallo's art gallery and home decor shop, Grace Aberdean: Habitat Alchemy, hosted an Art Night featuring SCAD artists Aimee Saccio and Lizzie Oglesby. Wish ya'll could have been there to see it! I'm sure you remember Jamie, she was a SCAD photo MA in 2005. Here are a few pics from the show!!

I believe everyone should have something special and unique for their home, something that expresses who they are. At Grace Aberdean we sell original art and vintage home furnishings. Here, you will find art that speaks to you, while the vintage furnishings say you are helping eliminate your carbon footprint. We pride ourselves on reviving what may be considered out dated and take complete joy by bringing you the best and brightest in the art world: true artists that believe in their work and craft, keeping their editions low to ensure you an original piece. We buy nothing from vendors, we believe in re-design and supporting each other. We believe in living life beautifully, we believe in living life with Grace. Jamie has been carefully collecting estate furniture, fixtures and glassware for years. She hand-selects fabrics to recover her fabulous sofas, couches and chairs, breathing life back into well-made vintage furniture that is sure to last a lifetime. To me, this is what makes her shop so unique and her ideals so important. Instead of wasting money and resources on poorly-constructed, reproduction pieces that are known to warp and break over time, she strikes gold in your grandmother's attic. Jamie does not invest in disposable goods, as so many mega-decor shops do. The quality of Jamie's selection is supreme, and her attention to detail and design is evident. During her adventures in estate sales, she also picks up chandeliers, jewelry, sheet music and many other eclectic home accessories of interest. Visit Grace Aberdean if you are in the Tuscaloosa area, or you can find much of Jamie's smaller inventory for sale online at her Etsy :: Grace Aberdean shop.
