So what is everybody up to this summer? I'm in Utah, since June, and am about to go on a little trip south... really south... What are you all doing?

I guess someone had better break the seal on these comments. What am I "up to?"

-I'm UP TO just about anything, provided it involves a casual beer chased by a big schlurp of coffee (to get back on track.)

-I'm also UP TO my high score in that game I enjoy but cannot remember the name of.

-UP TO week 5 of my rigorous Zombie defense program (gotta be ready for anything in Lousiana.)

-I feel pretty confident in saying that we all are probably UP TO GETTING DOWN with our bad selves...word.

Oh I'm up to getting down, getting down to the beast known as thesis, that is. I'll most likely be pretty zombie-fied by the end of this quarter so Jay may have to slay me for the greater good.

I'm up to planning my wedding! Ha! No really ... I've emptied 90 cans of oatmeal into gallon sized ziplock bags for my pinhole photography class I'm teaching at a summer creative arts camp. (I have 100 students in 6 weeks!) I've been giving all the oatmeal away and making lots of cookies! It's been a whirlwind so far. Some of my rising 9th and 10th grade students have been making some really interesting work. I've recently bought lizzieharris.com (the bum who owned it in England quit paying so it was for sale!) and I intend to relocate my website there soon. Come visit if you come by Oxford, Jeremias!

I would stop by Lizzie, but it's a different south I'm going to... southern hemisphere... that's all I can say... have to keep Jay guessing... you should go get married in Vegas! Beats the hassle... hmmm... like I know...

oh jeremias... you can run, but you cannot hide. I'll start with Antarctica and work my way up.

I'll give you a clue... I went up to 11,307 feet to get a rock on top of the highest mountain here in Iron County to take with me to perhaps a similar altitude.

You are gonna regret those clues.

I would have to guess I should intercept you between Brian Head Peak and somewhere around Columbia or Venezuela. I'll begin my hung around coordinates: 10°0′59″N, 72°57′28″W

Sorry, I wouldn't dare step into Columbia... It's not a WONDERful place to visit!

I feel as though I should be reading between your lines... but I'm not as worldly, so it will be trial and error bounty hunting.

Argentina, then Bolivia... I'll pick up the trail sooner or later.

look in the mountains... and stop wondering about...

I'm going to leave the Jeremias hunting up to Jay...

There is NO jealousy over having to write a thesis paper.

    Vegas sounds GREAT, Lizzie!

What am I doing this summer? Have a show in August, so am getting ready for that; just finished rebuilding my website (go look!); am going to take my buddy/ the A&M art dept. secretary to Savannah to see a REAL art school in a few weeks; got a new other job that pays twice as much as I was getting paid before; and went cosmic bowling for the first time last weekend.

summer is going well for me, i am looking forward to going home to ct for a bit to do some camping (ie drinking in the woods) with my cousins and see the family. bess and I have been hanging out and expanding our, well my, movie knowledge, and riding bikes.

i am going to join Jay in playing “where in the world is Jeremias.” I am going to take a stab with out having done much research and guess New Zealand. it is WONDERful place and there are some mountains close in height to where you got your rock. is that it Jeremais?

Too far south and west... read closely... read the news, well a week ago or so... clues could be anywhere... perhaps I'll issue a prize to the winner! maybe something from the destination would be sure to please...

Writing thesis can be a drag... we all know how that could be... maybe go down to the library and read mine for some clues... well maybe that's asking too much... but you'll find some clues...

Riding bikes can be fun, too. I'm thinking about getting a bike again and riding to work in the fall... riding in savannah was always fun... go late at night and go up on the empty parking garages... it's a fast ride down!

I hear Jay is an excellent zombie slayer...

    Here is another clue:

    Yale Historian

i am going to guess again, Machu Picchu. Peru or some pleace close to there in Peru.

Good Job Sarah! You're a winner... I'll send you your prize when I return... shame, shame on you Jay... Did you get the Wonder (as in 7 wonders of the world? hint? it just made the new list of 7!

  • At 5:47 PM, Blogger Sarah said…

no i didn't get that, i got the Yale thing. have fun on the trip!

ahhh... you know jay's probably gonna cry himself to sleep tonight... I'll find you a good ancient rock!

My eyes are bloodshot and tender after a long night of harsh tears. But it is good to know where you will be... especially since Machu Picchu has a long history of zombie encounters. I'll have to work fast if I intend to protect my friends and explore the WONDERS.

    Are you talking sabotage?

    I'm not a Beastie Boy.

I just don't want you and Rachel amongst the ranks of the undead.

Jay send him the book, the if Zombies attack book and make sure they have good bikes to ride away on!!!

A machete and a bike are necessary for your zombie defense/escape plan or an armored car . . . also an oil rig. Can you locate an oil rig near macchu picchu jeremias?

  • At 11:02 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I'll just swing by Venezuela and pick one up.

    this convertsation got very bizarre....

you're the seconds person I know who went to macchu pichu this year. Plane tickets there on sale or something?

  • At 8:43 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

The plane ticket was the hard thing to book... everything else was fairly easy. I was told everyone is going to Europe this year... which I wanted to do as well to see family... but then machu picchu came up... tough choice!

  • At 10:59 AM, Blogger Greg said…

Yes, Machu Picchu comes up regularly here in Kentucky, too. Why, just the other day...oh wait, did you say Machu Picchu? Or Pikachu? Because Pikachu is incredible this time of year.
