ROCK ON!!! I think it is definately not the midwest, though. When are you moving out there?

 

my contract starts august 16th, so we'll be moving out over the summer. Rachel has a short summer session left in school, so after that. I can't wait... I'm starting the photo department there... everyone seems extremely nice and the art department is very tightly knit together. How are things going with you, Al?

 

Other than the fact that midterms are next week and I still haven't been paid, things are good. I'm excited about the work my students are making -- my advanced students just had a show at Athens' State University which we field tripped to today (after a brief stop at Waffle House.) Pics will be up on the student pages part of my website shortly. I'm bummed, though -- they won't let me teach Digital Photo ("too much work to add a new class & the new computers are for the graphic design program" - quote from the program lead) and it looks like in the fall I'll only be teaching 1 section of intro & 1 section of Art appreciation (the bane of my existance). I've been job hunting for something a little more full time this year, but it doesn't look like anything is going to pan out.
