Melanie and I are going. If it blows, then we will check out Manhattan. Have you lined up any interviews?

I'll be in NYC, as you know... probably milling around the conference at some point. Nothing lined up there yet, but lots to do in the city.

I as well have nothing lined up other than hanging out with my friends from grad school. Anyone know anywhere good to eat? I think we should have dinner one night -- the whole bunch of us!

I'll probably be staying in Harlem. Bess is coming up as well and will surely be up for some 'hang time. My night schedule is flexible so far, but I am waiting to hear when some pals from Parson's can hang out before I lock too much in for my evenings. I'm around from Tuesday through Sunday though, so there is room to work with. Although, time will probably be filled up with some hostile board game playing with old pals.

I'll be around Thursday & Friday -- staying in Spanish harlem, need to catch up with friends, too and DEFINATELY am going to the vik muniz show, too! I *heart* his work!

How about we meet in the evening Thursday for food at the very least -- the whole bunch of us who are & can, even if it's late evening.

Hey, I'm also thinking about making Friday a major tour of galleries -- I was going to hit up Soho and the met and moma and ICP and see how much art my brain could possibly take before going into self destruct mode. Anyone interested in seeing if spontaneous human combustion can really happen?

Good Luck on the interview! Knock 'em dead... well, stunned at least.... Utah -- that would be quite a change from Cambridge!

Watch out for Mormons, you're going to get some Mormons. Good thing you skipped the conference. Not only was it brutally cold, but the conference was worse than last year. I would say half as many tables and only a dozen schools showed up. As far as I could tell, SCAD was the only school doing any interviews. I had more luck talking with the guys from University of Kentucky at lunch than I did at the conference itself. And $20 a person to ride an elevator to the top of the Empire State Building is a rip-off.

Yeah, CAA wasn't great. I was only there long enough to run into Bliss... but there were great shows in the city. Vik Muniz, Boyd Webb, Laura Letinsky... a good viewing for sure.

I had an interview with Ringling School of Art there, I think it went really well. Also will be flying to Louisiana Tech for an interview in a few weeks.
