Tuesday, June 20, 2006 Art in Public Space / “Appearing Rooms” Facing the main entrance of Art Unlimited, German artist Jeppe Hein displays his installation untitled “Appearing Rooms”. It has a playful feel. “The work is a programmed water pavilion, a maze consisting of four outer walls of water in the shape of a square, with four independent walls inside the structure dividing it up into smaller spaces. The 2.3-meter-high water walls rise and fall, changing every ten seconds as they define all possible right-angled configurations of the space. Visitors can move from space to space within the structure, finding themselves in differently shaped areas within or then suddenly outside, the pavilion.” DL posted by J @ 9:24 PM   0 comments

While some of you were doing the cap and gown thing, I was at a tow truck convention hanging out with Elvises! And I do mean plural Elvis (Would that be Elvi like the plural of syllabus -- sounds neater) There was a convention going on for E.T.A.'s -- Elvis Tribute Artists. I discovered the hard way that these people take serious affense to the word "impersonaters," just to warn you.
